In Commemoration Of International Fire Fighters

In commemoration of International Fire Fighters Day to honour those who lost their lives on duty, the Collen Mashawana Foundation is attending a breakfast hosted by Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements, Urban Planning and CoGTA Lebogang Maile in honour of the 3 fire fighters who tragically lost their lives in the Bank of Lisbon building fire in September 2018.

The event was coordinated by COGTA and the Provincial Disaster Management Centre (PDMC), where the MEC also awarded Special Bravery Medals to remember and honour these 3 firefighters and other recipients from the Gauteng Emergency services.

The @collenmashawanafoundation has committed to a donation of three new houses to honour the late firefighters, and to also bring back dignity to the families who not only lost loved ones but also breadwinners whose deaths have left them displaced and homeless.  This is one of the most special proiects that the Foundation will embark on simply because a safe home will provide the families with a legacy that they can hold in memory of the 3 brave men for generations to come.
